From the first article: Alcohol killed 1,547 people statewide in 2022 — fewer than the 1,799 who died of overdoses. This table from the first article lists the leading causes of death in Colorado as of 2022. It didn't list the 387 murders, nor 754 traffic fatalities statewide that year.
