That's not unlike what I've suggested for the Inauguration (" Should transit on Inauguration Day be free? ," 2013/2016) and other super special events (" Washington Cherry Blossom Festival and event transit ," 2023). It's probably too little too late. And absolutely that it is a key issue.

In terms of overall waste reduction planning, it's essential to include all properties in a jurisdiction within planning (" More on zero waste practice (and DC) ," 2015). At an event yesterday, I asked and they estimated that probably 10% or less of glass is recycled in the area. WRT solid waste and recycling it's pretty much the same.

I am always amazed seeing photos from Open Streets events, and I wonder, how come I don't see that many bicycles out in the community ordinarily? -- Produce a brochure promoting biking in the greater neighborhood. Such an activity should be a key event during National Bike Month, in every major metropolitan area.

They have branded special event transit service, provide service to certain airports, and the Port of Miami Cruise Terminal, etc. Brightline is a true innovator in creating transit service zones around their stations, some services are free, others cost money or are built into premium services.

Those are destination events, not events in a local park. Parks will also do ticketed events or rent out their space to big music festivals like Lollapalooza in Grant Park in Chicago.) These too tend to be destination events. Plein Air events. Special lighting events. Painting in public. Many programs.
