In transportation, it means that private parking resources are usually not addressed in parking planning (" Testimony on parking policy in DC ," 2012), private sector operators aren't addressed in planning for various modes. This also came up in comments on a recent Post article on composting, " Composting in NYC is hard."

The Tribune article asks the question of whether or not the streetcar is contributing to traffic reduction. And they had "parking innovation districts" for awhile, but they were idiosyncratic, not systematic, and had many restrictions. I'd say definitely not, the ridership is abysmal. Maybe they could do an exciting one for 2100 South.

They started planning in 2012, construction in 2014, and opened the first stations in South Florida in 2018. To ride is expensive compared to the regional commuter rail in South Florida and Brightline has had serious problems with crashes with vehicles and pedestrians. Lots of deaths. But it's quite impressive in two ways.
