1 FSOC was created by the Dodd-Frank Act in response to certain regulatory failings revealed by the financial crisis of 2007-2009. In addition, since 2008, it is also their conservator, which gives it powers to directly control all their operations and decision-making. I find these recommendations lacking for four main reasons.

Often places have "lots of" parking, but it's spread out across multiple properties, and they don't coordinate. Coordinating Parking/Developing a shared parking scenario One of the big problems with capitalism is every property does its own thing. Promoting biking, walking, and other sustainable modes is another element of TDM.

In 2009, I was appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Committee, representing the Eastern Market Preservation and Development Corporation. We did this in 2008 or 2009. 2006 and beyond, although what it's become is perhaps far beyond what I suggested, " Retail planning and Florida Market ," 2009.

It followed the beginnings of a revival of interest among historians of disease and medicine in the (misnamed) 1918 'Spanish influenza' pandemic, which began at the end of the 1990s.

Transportation management districts : in 2006 I suggested that DC create "transportation management districts" to coordinate modes within subdistricts of the city. I see they're updating their plan.)
