I'd say definitely not, the ridership is abysmal. I hadn't thought about it, but maybe SLC is ripe for the double deck bus approach (" Making bus service sexy and more equitable ," 2012) for rebranding and repositioning of bus service as sexy, even though the ridership numbers wouldn't justify it otherwise. Definitely this is another example of DC government's failure to focus and to be innovative. There's a letter to the editor in yesterday's Washington Post , " D.C. must step up on road deaths." It's a good letter. I started writing a response in the comments, but it was too long. So a blog entry is better.
