I hadn't thought about it, but maybe SLC is ripe for the double deck bus approach (" Making bus service sexy and more equitable ," 2012) for rebranding and repositioning of bus service as sexy, even though the ridership numbers wouldn't justify it otherwise. Besides the general TDM approach, utilize other methods to promote transit.

This was proposed a number of years ago for EM, first in the Barry Administration and then around 2012-2013, but the vendors fought it, with the support of now Mayor Muriel Bowser. Allow the sales of alcohol. Right now places can't sell it. Across the street on Independence Avenue SE is Hayden's, an independent liquor store.

The project took six years to complete, and the station opened in 2012, with full service in 2013. About 13,000 people work there. Conclusion. It's been 26 years.
