In the near term, we are supporting returning customers with more rapid social media engagement, and extended customer service hours Monday through Friday 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m.

As any transit user knows, once in a great while every transfer works beautifully, with little if any waiting (e.g., An intra-neighborhood shuttle, an element of what I call the tertiary transit (sub)network, would address the problem. Some examples exist, especially in Tempe, Arizona.

In 2009, I was appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Committee, representing the Eastern Market Preservation and Development Corporation. This was proposed a number of years ago for EM, first in the Barry Administration and then around 2012-2013, but the vendors fought it, with the support of now Mayor Muriel Bowser.
