In 2017, the responses to the Manchester Arena bombings and the Grenfell Tower fire were substantially criticised. Modern emergency management is based on coordination and cooperation.

It's an old rail corridor that was acquired by the Utah Transit Authority (" From rails to trails ," Deseret News , 2005) and is a joint project with the communities it passes through. But I would argue it's dis-coordinated, and addressing these omissions should be a top priority of the MPO's Active Transportation Committee.

In 2005, I served on the advisory committee for the International Public Markets Conference which covered both DC and Baltimore that year, led a tour, etc. I first proposed to the city creating TMDs in 2005/2006. They still haven't. I mentioned it over time. Arlington and Montgomery Counties have done and still do this.
