Bicycle Traffic as a system, diagram, German National Bicycle Plan, 2002-2012 It doesn't need to take 60 years. It's ready for a slight update because I have a couple more items. We spent 60+ years building a system of automobility. We need to build a similar system for biking. But it does need to be purposive.

In the beginning of my Main Street days (2002) districts like Dupont Circle pushed for being included. WTOP reports that DC and MoCo are working to create a business improvement district to help improve the area (" Friendship Heights BID? DC and Montgomery Co. are working on it "). So I was missing the point.

Bicycle Traffic as a system, diagram, German National Bicycle Plan, 2002-2012. One of the biggest problems with cycling take up, besides the fact that it's slower, so longer trips are less likely to be capturable--even so, 64% of all US trips are 7 miles or less--is secure bicycle parking.
