One of the problems of NPS visitor centers at sites is they tend to be hermetic in that they only provide information for that site. Note that years ago on Ebay I saw a photo of a "national" information center in DC in the 1940s, but I failed to buy it. The Carl Hayden Visitor Center at Glen Canyon Dam in Page, Arizona.

WMATA's latest bus improvement program

And when thinking about writing about it, I remembered a bus initiative back in 2006 too. Provide integrated bus arrival and departure information screens at Metrorail, Light Rail, and MARC stations. People need information near their homes and local areas, not just in the centre of the city.
