Ohio’s Traditional Land Bank Law. Before Ohio’s new county land banks were conceived, the main goal from 2004 to 2006 was to respond to local leaders’ demand for speedier tax foreclosure of long tax-delinquent vacant and abandoned lands. In 2006, the Ohio General Assembly passed this legislation.

Plans were made in the UK in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2014. No country other than the UK has spontaneously abandoned its basic law on emergency management (in this case the Civil Contingencies Act of 2004). There were major exercises on pandemics in 2005, 2007 and 2016.
