Announcing the expansion of Google Cloud research, teaching, and learning credits to support additional countries in Asia Pacific and Latin America

To better support equity and opportunity in higher education across the globe, we are pleased to announce the expansion of Google Cloud research, teaching, and learning credits to support additional  countries in Asia Pacific and Latin America. "Credits allow users to learn, build, and discover through hands-on access to the computing power of Google Cloud." With the recent additions of Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay, Indonesia and Vietnam, this brings our global community to over 75 countries

Google Cloud remains committed to offering a range of technology solutions and skilling offerings to support digital transformation and accessibility to users around the world. As part of this commitment, Google is investing in the digital economies of Asia to include the $10 billion Google for India Digitization Fund and Google's Digital Future Initiative in Australia. These new developments are part of our ongoing efforts to make cloud technologies accessible to more people everywhere -- and to drive more discoveries faster. With access to cloud technologies, researchers can make more breakthroughs and students can learn new technical skills to prepare them for the future.

We have committed to investing $7 million dollars in Latin America over the next year to help founders access capital needed to scale. investing in startups is part of our five-year, $1.2 billion commitment to the region. As a result of Google's investment in the region, researchers have been able to develop technology or study areas such as Advanced Deep Learning, sustainable urban development  and healthcare remote patient monitoring.
