5 Reasons to Not Attend the NextGen Government Training Virtual Summit

On Wednesday, May 10, the free NextGen Government Training Virtual Summit will host nearly 2,000 government employees for a full day of professional development training. But if you’re not interested in free career development sessions, these are probably the top reasons you haven’t registered yet:

  1. You don’t like free professional development: Six hours of informative sessions, with dynamic discussions on tackling workplace burnout, inclusivity, embracing change, and becoming a better leader? No, thanks.

  1. You’re not into inspiring speakers: You definitely don’t want to get helpful insight from amazing speakers like Julian Reeve, Former Musical Director for Hamilton; Elaina Ho, Deputy Associate Administrator for NASA’s STEM Engagement Program; or even Mel Kepler, Senior Consultant, Management Advisory Services, LMI.

  1. You’re uninterested in networking with fellow govies: Chatting with your hundreds of your peers to share innovative ideas and make meaningful connections? Sounds horrible.

  1. You don’t want to earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits: Furthering your career path by learning new skillsets that you can apply to your agency today? Hard pass.

  1. You’re so over getting free, shareable resources: Informative guides, playbooks, worksheets and reports that you can download for free and use to help move your mission forward? Why would you want those?

In case you change your mind about wanting to participate, the NextGen Summit will kick off at 10 a.m., with an agenda that’s jam-packed with advice, insight, and real-life government problem solving. If for some reason you’d like to register, here’s your chance (because we’d love to see you there).
